Carol (Bari) ~ Nancy (Tenor) ~ Sue (Bass) ~ Lenore (Lead)
Lenore O'Hanrahan (Lead) has been singing Barbershop for 3 years with NFCA. She jumped at the chance to sing with the chorus when Nancy?s husband arranged a sing date featuring them at a church function. Lenore's husband suggested that she attend, because he wanted to surprise her, knowing that she wanted to sing! (Smart man!!) Lenore is a past NFCA board member, ways and means chairman, and show chairman, along with Nancy. Lenore?s first quartet was 'Sno Problem. She has been working very hard to sing a full, strong, accurate lead. Her biggest challenge is reminding the bass of Root 5 that SHE is the lead of the quartet?not the bass! (See bass bio below!) We?ve created a monster/lead!!! Wife to PJ, proud mother of three girls, Ashley, Cailey & Emily and son Patrick, she has been a Bakery Manager for Wegmans for 10 years.
Nancy Achatz (Tenor) has been singing Barbershop for ten years with NFCA. Her husband, Jerry, introduced her to Ron and Sue, knowing how much she loved to sing. (Another great hubby!) He heard them talking about NFCA at a local pub. (You never know when and where great members will appear!!) Nancy has sung in a number of quartets, including ?Sno Problem with Lenore and Carol. She has also held chapter offices, including President, Secretary, and Show Committee. Nancy is currently a member of the Area 3 Council as the Community Services Coordinator (formerly the Autism Coordinator). She is mother to Stephanie, Tracy, and Jerry, and proud grandmother of five, who keep her on the run because all have moved South! In her professional life, Nancy keeps things running smoothly in ECMC?s Trauma Unit.
Carol Ann Mayer (Baritone) enjoys the challenge of singing those filler notes that give the chord an interesting twist. Originally singing Lead in an SAI Chorus and Quartet, Carol joined Harmony, Inc and NFCA as a Bari in '06.
Sue Trenchard (Bass) is a proud founding member and co-director of NFCA. She has served as President and Secretary of the chorus, and as Quartet Coordinator, Parliamentarian, and Area Contest and Convention Team Co-chairman with Area 3. She was also International Quartet Chairman for many years. Sue sings lead in the 1997 Queens of Harmony, ?IMAGES? ? and also sings with the combination quintet (Mystages) with Mystique, 2007 Queens of Harmony. She was excited to try singing bass with Root 5, and is currently singing bass in NFCA. See what you think when you see us on stage in Providence! Sue is married to Jack, has 3 sons, Jeff, Craig, and Steve. She also has a wonderfully talented daughter-in-law, Tennille, who is the mother of her two precious grandsons, Joshua and Cameron. Oh, yeah, Sue dabbles in ?working? by babysitting her grandsons, teaching pre-school music, and a very part time receptionist for a huge office building on Lake Erie.
